11th Annual Race Against Child Abuse

St. Helens, OR- Citizens from across Columbia County & beyond can fight Child Abuse together by supporting the upcoming annual Race Against Child Abuse.  This race starts down at the waterfront in St Helens at 8:00 AM at Columbia View Park with the purpose to raise funds for the Amani Center on April 13th.  The more the merrier with lots of fun to be had.

You can pick the 1 mile (Family Walk), 5 K, 10 K or Half Marathon.  There is an option for everyone to support our kids and families in Columbia County.   Race prices range from $30 – $70 depending on which race you choose. You still have time to register and can even do so the morning of the race.  Email bpulito@amanicenter.org for questions and you can find out more details on their Facebook Page.

Beth Pulito, Fundraising & Outreach Coordinator, mentioned on Facebook she has a personal goal of 200 runners even though they have surpassed their numbers from years prior.  It is key that they raise as much as they can with the help of their community as their programs serve Columbia County.  Getting families together to support their community is what small town living is about.

Amani Center is Columbia County Child Abuse Assessment Program with the mission to provide medical evaluations & forensic interviews, as well as resources & support to children and their families who may have been impacted by abuse or neglect.  For more information, go to their website.
