Scappoose, OR – Food carts are starting to pop up across Columbia County. Hangry is one of the newer food carts located in Scappoose at 53787 West Lane Road kitty-corner from Scappoose Creek Inn on the way to the Scappoose Airpark. Hangry is a family owned business run by the Curtis family, Heidi, David & son Noah. They decided to open it in in Scappoose because they have lived there all their lives. They wanted to open their business in their backyard.
Heidi revealed a big smile as she responded when asked why she named it “Hangry.” Hedi said, “because it happens to me if I don’t eat I get hangry. ” Wikipedia states hangry means Hungry and angry, especially when the anger is induced by hunger. Heidi also mentioned she was thankful for the locals who work with the area and have been keeping her business busy since they opened.
It’s a quick trip to grab some really good food and they even have a drive-up window. Call your order in to 971-256-1911 to pick up. No need to decide if you want breakfast or lunch. You can order both as they have breakfast burritos, soups, sandwiches, and daily specials. It’s best to follow their facebook page to stay on top of the menu. Heidi mentioned that The Philly is a customer favorite, get it either with chicken or beef. You can also get drinks, dessert, and coffee.
