Scappoose, OR – Local businesswoman, Jessica Hansen runs two businesses in Columbia County. She works as a freelancer, a business coach, for The System Magician & opened a nonprofit, Jubilee Collaborative a few months ago at 52555 Columbia River Highway, Scappoose, OR. Many businesswomen have more than one business so that’s not what makes her unique. She’s unique because she has started two of the larger growing segments of business that aren’t just trends but are here to stay and expand such as freelancer & co-working space which both complement one another. She coaches business owners to reach their goals and streamline processes and opened the first co-working space in Columbia County.
Jessica has a corporate background making an easy transition to coaching small businesses owners. She set up Jubilee Collective, co-working and events rental space, as a nonprofit to keep the rates for office space affordable for those who work virtually. So many people meet in restaurants and coffee shops, co-working provides a different but similar environment with amenities. You’ll find many events happening at Jubilee Collective follow their calendar to stay up to date such as Saturday Market, local workshops, classes and they have a fundraiser coming up on August 25th for Sseko Designs Fundraiser with a Purpose.
Jessica shared she decided to open the co-working space because “Jubilee Collective is a place for all people to teach and learn anything they want. It’s been missing in our community. There’s also a need for office space that’s affordable and flexible for a new generation of virtual workers. Jubilee Collective is a resource for people starting and growing small businesses, unlike anything else in Columbia County.”
Co-working is a trend that is here to stay according to Entrepreneur.com. It offers the perks of an office while sharing the power of working with others and dividing office expenses helping to put more dollars back into a business owner’s pocket. “Freelance workforce growth is accelerating and has outpaced overall U.S. workforce growth by 3x since 2014. Work is changing rapidly, FIA (Freelancing In America) finds, due to the impacts of automation, and freelancers are better equipped for the future due to more frequent reskilling.” www.upwork.com.
Jessica focuses on long-term goals and how to get there. She is often ahead of the curve leading the way. Help me welcome her to Columbia County. You can follow her on her business Facebook pages The Systems Magician and Jubilee Collective.
