Business Bits: New Gift Store in St. Helens

St. Helens, Oregon- Local business Northwest Plumbing Services expanded to a brick and motor location at 58105 Columbia River Hwy Suite B, St Helens, OR 97051 a few months ago adding Sass At Home, Home Decor & Gift Store, June 1st.  With Summer comes road construction at their entrance of Millard Road and Hwy 30 making it more challenging to shop but if you take a detour stop in.  Sass At Home is open Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM & on Fridays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, plus you can shop 24/7 on their website.  They plan to host a Grand Opening in mid-July once construction is complete. Follow their Facebook page to stay up for their Grand Opening date and ideas for your upcoming gifting needs.

Sass At Home has been a dream of Mindy’s, co-owner of Northwest Plumbing Services,  for the past twenty years.  She originally wanted to open a store and name it “Sass,” but when the space become available for Northwest Plumbing Services to move into a large warehouse with lots of open office space, she decided to tailor it to complement a plumbing showroom for their family business.

Susannah Sass, Mindy’s daughter who also works in the family business, explained, ” Just like the other stores in our amazing community, this store embodies our “sassy” personalities. We’re hoping that when someone comes into the store they can get a sense of who we are as the Sass Family. We are also trying to find different items that are sometimes harder to find out here without going to Walmart or Fred Meyer, such as bachelorette party/bridal shower gifts, and are working to fill out our baby shower/gift section as well. We’ve been inspired by Bella Maison, a shop we dearly miss, and are hoping to give people the same feeling when they shop here that we used to feel when visiting Bella Maison.”
