Slingin’ sauces at Kuy’s Oriental Cuisine

ST. HELENS — Kuy Kao, owner of Kuy’s Oriental Cuisine in St. Helens, whips up a batch of her popular Cambodian peanut sauce following today’s lunch rush in her restaurant.

Assisting are son-in-laws (left to right), Jake Wakeman and Ali Amhaz, and server Jackie Coddington (far left).

Kao sells her specialty sauces in her restaurant at 524 Milton Way, and at selected farmers markets in the area during harvest season. Other sauce varieties include: fried garlic, sweet chili, garlic vinaigrette, chili oil, and stir-fry.
