Have you been to Nob Hill? Spring brings perfect hiking weather and flowers which are starting to pop up everywhere. You really should take a few minutes to check out this park. Nob Hill is one of the “gems” in Columbia County. It is easy to find as it’s right across the street from the Waste Water Treatment Plant in St. Helens, 451 Plymouth Street, St. Helens, OR. This park is a must if your looking for an easy hike. It takes about 20 minutes and has that feel like your out in nature without the drive. Nob Hill is the type of park where you won’t find playgrounds, you might not even see another person. That is what makes this park so special. This park is where one must take only their memories; leave only their footprints.
The friends of Scappoose Bay Watershed Council is a nonprofit partner group for the Friends of Nob Hill. They are currently looking for volunteers for a work party on April 4th. Call 503-397-7904 for questions or for more information on Nob Hill Nature Park.
